Did anyone else have to do a last minute scramble for Christmas presents? Well, I did. I did, and I didn’t like it.

I’m the freak who is always buying Christmas presents for people in August. I don’t like last minute. I don’t DO last minute.

Yet, we had a houseguest come and hang out with us over Christmas. Being the right and proper hosts we are, we needed presents, and we needed them quickly. My aunt (a ninja-level shopper), showed up with six parcels for the houseguest, I gave my mother a spare journal in which to write something touching prior to gifting, and me… well… I had to think of something.

I’d done a few artistic pieces for this friend before, so it wasn’t untoward that I do another – especially if I took the time and effort to frame it. I took to my own photographs for the visuals and Pinterest for the quote inspiration, and what came out of it wasn’t half bad, if I do say so myself.

I hope you all had happy holidays with pretty presents and friendly family.

Have a picture of Buche Noel and remember that life is precious, people.
